Finds ‘Round the World ~ Europe 2014!

Hey fashionistas!

I had an amazing time in Europe this past month — especially where shopping is concerned, haha! 🙂 I found some great finds along my travels & I’m excited to show them to you!

Here’s my first set of finds! 🙂

My first purchase was macarons from Lauduree in Paris! They were absolutely delicious! My favorite has to be, hands down, chocolate (which is filled with fudge!) I also tried a Maria Antoinette (which is blue filled with black tea), Vanilla, & Salted Caramel. They were all very good (but why wouldn’t they be!?)

My second purchase was the three bracelets you see in pink, green, & white. I bought these in Albert Cuypmarkt, a popular local market in Amsterdam (one of my favorite destinations!) I was able to buy all of them for €20! My favorite out of the three (that I wear most often) is the blue & green one — reminds me the most of Amsterdam & its beauty + scenic areas. 🙂

My third purchase (which I got the biggest deal on) was my new suede purse with the tassel. A friend of mine was looking for a Celine knock off & found one at this local street vendor in Florence. I happened to see this purse hanging from the stand & thought it was super cute! I wasn’t planning on buying a purse, but I kind-of fell in love with it. My favorite aspect about it is that  even though it’s small — it’s really spacious, & I also love the color + texture. 🙂 It was supposed to be €40 but the salesman gave it to me for €20! 🙂  At the stand next to this one, I bought the L’Officiel magazine because I loved all of the photos + inspiration (& it was only a few euros!) 😀 (The Elle magazine I bought on the way home from the airport.)

As for the keychains I collected, I got the Eiffel Tower & Amsterdam ones for free & I bought the little clog one from a cheese & clog maker in the outskirts of Amsterdam.  🙂

My second set of finds are these great pieces of artwork! 🙂

The first piece I bought was this beautiful canvas painting near the gondolas in Venice. My goal was to buy a painting off the street, so when I saw this one — I knew I had to take it home with me! 🙂 It reminds me of my ride along the gondolas & the great time I had in Venice! 🙂

In a street market in Provence was where I found these awesome spray-painted records. My friend Lindsey & I were walking around when we spotted them. I immediately fell in the love with the Coco Chanel one & knew I had to get it! The artist gave us a deal of 3 for €50. So I bought the Chanel (which will be coming with me to school this year), the Beatles (so I can put it with my picture of me walking across Abbey Road — which I’ll get to in my next post), & Jim Morrison (because I love ‘The Doors’!) 😀

As for clothes, I found all of these great finds in Madrid. 🙂 It’s funny because I wasn’t really planning on buying any clothes (especially from somewhere like H&M!) Since we have one at home & also for the fact that I’ve always hated H&M! I’ve never found anything there each time I’ve shopped there. However, Madrid had some amazing selection that has restored my faith in this company, haha. I bought these awesome blue + green shorts (which I’m pretty obsessed with) & a snakeskin print kimono.

While I was there I also shopped in Zara a ton, which is where I found this cute leopard print run-around shirt for €5! 🙂 (as you can tell — I have a pretty big obsession with anything leopard print ;P)

Also, a friend of mine on the trip found a cheap place that sold flow-y type pants that I’ve always wanted to try (but I always thought I was to short.) However, once I saw them on her (being that we’re the same height) they looked great! So, I decided to get my own pair & I love them! 🙂

So as you can see, I had a lot of fun on this trip! 🙂 I’m so happy with all my new finds & I’m glad to know I have so many trinkets to remind me of my amazing time abroad! 🙂

Ready for adventure!!!

[some of the items from my carry-on! 🙂 ]

Hey fashionistas!

As you’re reading this, I’m currently sitting in the airport waiting for my 8 hour flight to London!!! 🙂 Is this really happening?!?!? I can’t believe I’m going to be able to say “I TRAVELED THE WORLD!” I’m both excited & nervous (but who wouldn’t be!) I can’t wait to recount all of my many experiences when I get back in a month! I might be able to post on Instagram a bit while I’m there, but otherwise I’ll be taking it all in. 🙂

As Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”

I’m ready to gain new experiences & live life to the fullest!!!

Bon Voyage,

xo Britt

Happiest girl in the world!

A few days ago, I was looking up activities to do for the summer. What started off as looking for local camp counseler jobs, turned into looking at a 30 day trip around Europe! My mom happened to stumble across this website that provided trips all around Europe for college students. I was so excited when my parent’s gave me the ‘OK’ to go! It’s literally all I think about haha — I’m so excited! I would never have thought in a million years that I’d be going to Europe … and FOR A MONTH! So insane! I’ve read so many great reviews and I can’t wait to meet amazing new people and see amazing places! 😀

My itinery will consist of:

& more!

I can’t wait to start packing, haha! 🙂 (just kidding — kind of freaking out! I’m such an over-packer! I literally pack a week’s worth of clothes for a few days … so it’s going to be very tricky!)

Hopefully I’ll be able to keep you updated as I’m gone, but if not — I’m going to keep a journal, so I’ll write what I can when I get back. (Sorry — getting a little a head of myself here! SUMMER PLEASE HURRY UP!!! haha)

p.s. – Any suggestions on what to see & or what to pack would be really appreciated! It will be my first time abroad! 🙂
